Traveling & Volunteering

Since a long time I wanted to leave traveling and volunteering. My plan was to fly to Calcutta to discover the Houses of Mother Teresa and see there what I could do.

Later I met Nino my girl friend (who is now my wonderful wife). She had a similar project in mind but her preference was Africa.

As a Compromise we decided to go first to Tanzania, then Thailand, Hanoi and Calcutta.

This site was being created while we were traveling. Do not hesitate to report any idea you would have to improve it :-)

    Happy birthday, Jean-Philippe!
I just realize that it is your 40th … so you have achieved the goal as you once told me, i.e. to make such a trip before you reach this age. Congrats for that.
I just took some time to read through your notes. Many and impressive experiences. Good luck and all the best for the next weeks!

    • Dear Alois, thanks for your nice words. Yes many experiences are far beyond what I had expected🙂

At the moment we are in Phnom Penh we had planned to help in an orphanage but it is already full hence we may move to Siem Reap where more needs seem to be required🙂 All the best from a wonderful country. Say hello to the team from me.

      All the best,

Amazing, dear!!!! Both, your girlfriend and you yourself, are really courageous. I mean, you were able to put off work and the occidental life in order to make your dreams come true. I think I’m not that courageous woman. I envy you…. in the best sense, you know? All my love 4 U, and let you go on in that track. Congrats!!!!!

    • Thanks a lot Graciela for your nice words. We discover here many emotions, many traditions, many nice people. Many days come with new surprises and the more we are deeper in this travel the fastest the time goes😦 Another 1,5 month and we will be already back in Europe which we are as well sometimes missing: family, friends, pizza, tiramisu and more are not easy to find here🙂 All the best to you and your family.

    Hi Jean-Philippe,
I’m so happy to see you both are doing well. Amazing pictures and I suppose you met amazing people. Sorry for being a little late, but also all the best for your round birthday. Hope to see you some time back in Munich. Take care, Nino and you.

    • Hi Michael,
Nice to read from you🙂 Thanks a lot for your nice wishes and your comment. At the moment it is still unsure where I will land after this travel however I will be happy if we have a chance to meet when I am back🙂
Say hello to your wife and children and everyone in the team.
All the best from the very hot Phnom Penh🙂
